DNU Celebrates Constitution Day of Ukraine: A Tribute to Sovereignty, Freedom, and Resilience

On June 28, Ukraine will proudly celebrate one of its most significant national holidays—Constitution Day. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the adoption of Ukraine’s Fundamental Law, a milestone that defines our country as a sovereign, independent, democratic, and legal state. However, for the second consecutive year, Ukrainians commemorate this day amidst the ongoing full-scale war waged by the Russian Federation—a war that has only strengthened our national unity and unwavering commitment to the principles enshrined in our Constitution.

For two years, the Ukrainian people have been heroically defending their fundamental constitutional rights and freedoms against a relentless enemy. The right to live freely, in dignity, and in a sovereign nation is not merely an aspiration—it is a sacred duty that Ukrainians uphold with unparalleled courage and sacrifice. The Constitution of Ukraine firmly states that the right to determine and change the country’s constitutional order belongs solely to the Ukrainian people—a truth that no external force can undermine.

At Dzhankoi National University (DNU), the spirit of constitutionalism, democracy, and academic freedom remains strong despite the trials of war. Our faculty, researchers, students, and staff, including those displaced or scattered across the world, continue to contribute to Ukraine’s educational, scientific, and cultural resilience. INU stands as a beacon of knowledge and progress, fostering a new generation of leaders, innovators, and defenders of Ukraine’s future.

The Constitution of Ukraine is more than a legal document—it is a symbol of our statehood, sovereignty, and European identity. Its principles are written not only in ink but also in the blood and sacrifice of those who fight daily to uphold them. Today, as Ukrainian defenders stand firm on the frontlines and civilians tirelessly rebuild communities, we reaffirm our nation’s unwavering determination to remain free and independent.

On the eve of Constitution Day, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire INU community—our esteemed professors, dedicated scientists, students, and staff. Despite the hardships of war, we remain united in our pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and national renewal.

May Ukraine soon celebrate victory, peace, and prosperity, ensuring that every citizen can live with dignity, security, and limitless opportunities. Let us continue to stand together, honoring our past, shaping our present, and securing our future as a strong and free nation.

Happy Constitution Day, dear colleagues and fellow Ukrainians! 💙💛
