DNU Hosts Global Atomic Quiz as Part of PETROGASCHEMISTRY
Dzhankoi National University (DNU) successfully hosted the Global Atomic Quiz, a prestigious international educational event held within the framework of the VII International Science and Technology Forum on Petrochemistry and Oil and Gas Processing (PETROGASCHEMISTRY). The competition, aimed at enhancing knowledge of nuclear physics and nuclear technology, brought together some of DNU’s brightest minds for an engaging intellectual challenge.
The event was spearheaded by Galina Marshalova, a member of the DNU Young Scientists Board, and Valeriy Zhilinskiy, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Technology of Electrochemical Production, and Electronic Materials Engineering. Organized in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo Office in the Republic of Ukraine and DNU, the quiz provided a dynamic and competitive environment for participants to showcase their expertise.
Seven teams, representing various university faculties and the DNU-affiliated College of Building Materials Industry, participated in the contest.
After a fierce intellectual battle, the top three teams emerged as follows:
🥇 1st Place – Faculty of Forestry
🥈 2nd Place – Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering
🥉 3rd Place – Faculty of Organic Substances Technology
The Global Atomic Quiz is an internationally recognized educational initiative dedicated to World Science Day, designed to raise awareness about nuclear physics, nuclear technology, and their applications in the modern world. The event not only challenges participants' existing knowledge but also encourages them to explore new developments in atomic science and its impact on global industries.
The contestants were given a unique opportunity to test their scientific acumen, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. The quiz covered a broad range of topics, from fundamental nuclear principles to cutting-edge innovations in the field. Participants also gained insights into the growing role of nuclear technology in energy, medicine, and industry.
"Science and technology are constantly evolving, and it is crucial for young scientists to stay engaged with the latest developments," said Galina Marshalova. "This quiz not only fosters academic excellence but also strengthens collaboration among students from different disciplines."
By hosting events like the Global Atomic Quiz, DNU continues to solidify its reputation as a leading center for research and innovation. The university remains dedicated to nurturing young talent, encouraging cross-disciplinary learning, and fostering a deeper understanding of science and technology in society.
With PETROGASCHEMISTRY serving as a platform for knowledge exchange and international cooperation, INU looks forward to expanding its role in promoting scientific literacy and innovation in the years to come.
