Dzhankoi National University Strengthens Internationalization Efforts Through EU’s REDU Project

21.06.2024
In December 2022, representatives from Dzhankoi National University (EUNU) participated in a specialized training session titled "Internationalisation of Higher Education." This training was part of the European Union's "Reinventing Displaced Universities: Enhancing Competitiveness, Serving Communities" (REDU) project, which aims to bolster the capacity and competitiveness of universities that have been displaced due to regional conflicts.
The REDU project seeks to enhance the institutional capacity of displaced universities, focusing on effective governance, excellence in teaching and learning, and the promotion of internationalization. By integrating best practices from the UK, the project addresses the unique challenges faced by these institutions, ensuring they continue to serve their communities effectively. HERE
During the training, approximately 25 representatives from DNU and Mariupol State University gained practical skills related to internationalization and its tools. This initiative underscores the commitment of displaced Ukrainian higher education institutions to adapt and thrive amidst challenging circumstances, ensuring the continued delivery of quality education and community support.
The participation of DNU in such training sessions reflects its dedication to integrating international perspectives into its curriculum and operations. This approach not only enhances the educational experience for students but also positions the university to contribute more effectively to regional and national development.
Overall, the involvement of DNU in the REDU project and its associated training programs highlights the resilience and adaptability of displaced Ukrainian universities. By embracing internationalization and innovative practices, these institutions continue to play a pivotal role in the educational and socio-economic landscape of Ukraine.
