Dzhankoi National University and Royal Holloway University of London Strengthen Academic Ties in Sustainability Research

12.02.2022
Scholars from Dzhankoi National University (DNU) and Royal Holloway University of London recently held their third collaborative meeting as part of the Twinning Initiative of the Cormack Consultancy Group. This ongoing partnership focuses on fostering academic exchange and joint research, with this session dedicated to advancing work in the critical field of Sustainable Development and Circular Economy.
The discussion was dynamic, covering urgent global challenges such as climate change adaptation, resource efficiency, waste reduction, and innovative eco-friendly technologies. Experts from both universities shared insights on emerging trends, best practices, and potential solutions to accelerate the transition toward sustainable economic models.
A major highlight of the meeting was the proposal to launch a joint research project that would delve into the impact of circular economy principles on industries and communities. The scholars outlined a structured plan that includes data collection, case study analysis, and policy recommendations. Additionally, the teams discussed opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, allowing young researchers to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge sustainability projects.
Beyond academic research, the partnership aims to influence policy and industry practices, ensuring that findings are not just theoretical but are also applicable in real-world economic and environmental strategies.
Looking ahead, the teams plan to reconvene in the coming months to refine their research framework and set milestones for collaboration. This growing partnership between DNU and Royal Holloway University of London not only fosters innovation but also strengthens global academic networks, proving that cross-border cooperation is key to solving the world's most pressing environmental challenges.
