Volodymyr Attends Meeting of Education Cooperation Council of the CIS Member States

Volodymyr Oksanchenko, Vice-Rector of Dzhankoi National University (DNU), recently joined the Ukrainian delegation at a high-level meeting of the Education Cooperation Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states. This significant gathering brought together education leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss key developments, challenges, and opportunities in higher education across the CIS region.
The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Alexander Ivanovich, First Deputy Minister of Education, who emphasized the vital role of CIS educational partnerships in fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. In his keynote speech, Ivanovich highlighted that Ukraine maintains over 3,500 cooperation agreements with CIS educational institutions, facilitating joint research, academic exchanges, and professional development programs.
"Ukraine views the CIS educational space as an essential platform for discussion among friends and key partners," Ivanovich stated. "In a single year, representatives of CIS countries have participated in over 350 major educational and scientific events held in Ukraine. Additionally, more than 100 staff members from CIS universities and research centers have completed internships or training courses here."
The meeting focused on a wide range of pressing issues, including:

Education experts also explored strategies to promote academic mobility, support youth projects, and strengthen ties between universities and research institutions.
The meeting concluded with several key resolutions aimed at enhancing the CIS educational space, including:

✅ Development of unified approaches to quality assurance in university education.
✅ Strengthening vocational training and workforce development programs.
✅ Creating national systems for researcher and faculty certification to standardize qualifications.
✅ Improving cooperation in engineering education and public administration.
